LP Relocation - Programs
These are our most popular bundles requested by our clients. Feel free to design a made-to-measure program that suits the needs of your company.
We present the most important and original aspects of daily life in Quebec, so that the family can be better prepared to make the adaptation phase as easy as possible.
It is an excellent opportunity for the family to ask all their questions, express their concerns and dispel any false preconceptions about Quebec.
While the expat and his/her family wait for the move to arrive, and before moving to the permanent residence, temporary accommodation is chosen as to live comfortably.
These lodgings are furnished, fully-equipped and include all utilities (electricity, gas, internet, TV, local home phone).
Cleaning and other services are often available. We select several homes corresponding to the criteria given in the Profile (size, place, duration of stay, budget).
An LP Relocation counsellor personally visits the dwellings, takes photos and makes written comments on the pros and cons.
Possible choices are sent by email. Once the choice is made, we book the lodging and assist in the signing of the lease.
On the same day of his/her arrival, an LPR counsellor will meet the transferee at the lodging (service assured 7 days a week, 8 am - 22 pm). She hands the keys over, performs a walk-through and gives useful information about the neighbourhood.
The main cities of the Province of Quebec, Quebec City and Montreal, have a wide variety of neighbourhoods.
It is an excellent idea that the expat and his/her family get a glimpse at a few before choosing the neighbourhood where they want to live.
Together with our counsellor, the visit will include actual visits to homes that are listed in order to give the expat a real feel of the type of lodging they can find, at what price and what the neighbourhood has to offer.
The Orientation tour narrows down the search for Permanent Housing, making it easier and time effective for the expat.
We select homes which correspond to the criteria and the budget outlined by the expat and his family.
The number of houses visited depends on market conditions.
We organize the visits and a LPR counsellor will accompany the expat on each visit.
Attention is made to the advantages and disadvantages of the lodging and its immediate area.
We are there when the lease is negotiated, or the offer to purchase is made as well as the signing of the lease or deed.
A walk-through is performed by our counsellor, readings of the natural gas and electricity meters are taken and a file is created (report and photos).
Our counsellor will explain the procedure for opening utility accounts (electricity, natural gas, TV, internet and home phone services) and put the expat in contact with several insurance Companies.
An LPR Counsellor arranges the appointments and accompanies the expat and his family to obtain the official documents (social insurance, provincial health care, driver's license).
We accompany the expat and his/her spouse to open a bank account and obtain a debit card at the institution of their choice.
Some branches which we know well, will extend a credit card without making the usual guaranteed deposit(some conditions may apply).
Schools & Daycare
If the family has school-age children, we explain how the Quebec education system works (French or English system, private or public) and assist the family to obtain the Quebec Certificate of Eligibility (if required). We organize the visits in the selected schools and follow-up the application process and make necessary appointments with the School Board if necessary.
Day Care centres in Quebec are either public or private.
Appointments to visit the day cares are made and we follow the application process.
Welcome to your home
The purpose of this service is to select a temporary accommodation that the expatriate and his family will inhabit upon their arrival in Quebec, before the move arrives and before they can settle in their permanent home. They will thus avoid a stay at the hotel.
These accommodations are furnished, fully equipped and often with services (electricity, gas, internet, TV, local telephone ...) already connected. Cleaning services are generally available.
We select several temporary units corresponding to the criteria expressed (size, location, duration, budget). An LP Relocation counsellor personally visits the dwellings, takes photos and makes written comments on the pros and cons. We send the file by e-mail to the expatriate to choose. We reserve the chosen accommodation and coordinate the signing of the lease.
Our Counsellor welcomes the expatriate in his temporary accommodation on the day of arrival, (reception is provided 7 days a week between 8 am and 10 pm).
She hands him the keys and gives him lots of useful information about the neighbourhood. She checks the inventory and makes a walkthrough visit (file and photos).
This service is especially designed for temporary accommodation (1 to 3 months). However, if the expatriate so wishes, we can select dwellings with a long lease (1 year or more), bearing in mind that a lease in Quebec is a firm commitment over the duration of the lease.
All classical relocation services plus...
